This is a guide for the submission and presentation of posters at the 2014 National Archaeological Student Conference (NASC), if creating posters for various other conferences please refer to their guidelines.
Why submit a poster?
A person only needs to spend a few minutes observing your poster to appreciate and understand the work you are presenting, and this is extremely useful when there are hundreds of people displaying their work. In academia, there are few chances to be creative, so why not take this chance and present your work in a colourful manner? If you wish to present your hard work but do not wish to present it in person, then a poster is a brilliant alternative.
